The
new Chevrolet Impala has two engine configuration available,
and two trims. The Chevy Impala sedan and LS with an optional
Sport Package. Under the hood of the Impala you'll find a 3400
V6 engine with sequential fuel injection which generates 180
hp at 5200 rpm and 205 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. The EPA
estimated MPG on the 2013 models is 32 highway. Also
available is the 200-hp 3800 V6 engine with flat torque curve.
2013 Chevrolet Impala's engine cradle is made of extruded
aluminum making it lighter and stiffer than conventional steel
cradles. Chevy's all speed electronic traction control helps
keep traction by reducing wheel spin on slippery road surfaces
by reducing engine power and modulating the brakes. The standard
3400 V6 on the Chevrolet Impala Sedan has an EPA estimated MPG
of 21 city, 32 highway. The Chevy 3800 Series II V6 gets an
EPA estimated MPG of 19 city, 29 highway. The refined 3800 V6
in the 2013 Chevrolet Impala LS puts out 200 hp at
5200 rpm and 225 lb. ft of torque at 4000 rpm. Delivering smooth
operation and power across a broad torque band for acceleration
with power the efficient 3400 V6 in Impala Sedan features 180
hp 5200 rpm and 205 lb. ft of torque at 4000 and its EPA estimated
MPG of 32 highway.
Standard
on every 2013 Chevrolet Impala's wheels are a 16-inch,
and the Chevy Impala LS has P225/60R-16 touring tires and five-spoke
sport cast aluminum wheels. The new Chevy Impala Sedan features
P225/60R-16 all-season tires and steel wheels with bolt on full
wheel covers. For this year and next (2013) optional
is the electrically operated sunroof, optional on both Impala
and Impala LS, easy operation of the sunroof by the use of a
button, sunroof tilts up or slides back. The tinted panel slides
above the roof and includes a sunshade. Also, fog lamps are
standard on the Chevrolet Impala LS.
The
2013 Chevrolet Impala LS with the optional Sport Appearance
Package offers a 200-hp 3800 V6 engine, fully independent sport
touring suspension, 16-inch diamond cut High Sport aluminum
wheels, chromed stainless steel exhaust tip, racetrack inspired
strut tower brace, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake
cooling ducts, sport bucket seats with leather seating surfaces
and a graphite instrument panel and side-door trim appointments.
