For
2013 Chevrolet Tahoe there are two available engines,
the Vortec 4800 V8 SFI Vortec engine which features a 275 hp
at 5200 rpm 290 lb ft of torque at 4000 rpm Surprising fuel
efficiency. The new Tahoe with the 4800 engine gets an estimated
MPG 14 city and 18 on the highway for both 2 WD and 4 x 4 models.
Electronic throttle control and sequential fuel injection added
for optimum combustion. Also the 2013 Vortec 4800 has a
durable cooling system designed for dependable performance,
lubrication driven off the crankshaft for better towing and
hauling. Chevrolet has also added platinum tip spark plugs with
a life of up to 100,000 miles.
The
2013 Chevrolet Tahoe is also offered with a Vortec
5300 V8 SFI engine which features a 285 hp at 5200 rpm 325 LB
-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. Added is the electronic throttle
control and strong engine design for rigidity and durability.
Like the 4800 the 5300 also has sequential fuel injection for
optimum combustion and a durable cooling system specially designed
for better performance. The 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe's engine
coolant will not need replacement for up to five years or 150,000
miles depending on driving conditions.
