The new 2010 Honda CR-V's come in three model trims, including 2wd
and 4wd. The
new CR V has a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat which means you
don't have to compromise rear passenger comfort when carrying
a passenger and extra long cargo. This creates a greater cargo
capacity, both rear seats can be folded forward for hauling larger
items. The new Honda CR-V comes with a Real Time 4 Wheel Drive
system. When the traction of all four wheels are needed, such
as on slippery roads, the system automatically engages the wheels
for maximum tire grip. Real Time 4-Wheel Drive is a hydraulically
actuated system that operates only when front-wheel slippage occurs.
Also unique
with the new 2010 Honda CR-V is the Grade Logic Control
automatically downshifts or upshifts when driving down or up a
hill. It differs from other computer-controlled shift programming
because it determines actual driving situations based on six different
stored "shift maps," and based on that data, selects
appropriate shift points.
The new CR-V
for 2010 has a reduce engine idle vibration, a fluid-filled
engine mount is used at the engine's inertial-axis mounting point
making this new Honda very quiet on the road.
For added
security on the new Honda CR-V is the coded key, if the code agrees
with the code in the Powertrain Control Module, or PCM, the PCM
lets the driver start the engine.
The new 2010
Honda CR-V and next year's 2010 models come with added safety
features which include; the side airbag which inflate to help
protect the driver or front passenger's upper body. Honda took
this safety technology a step further than its competitors with
its Occupant Position Detection System, if a child or small-statured
adult is leaning into the deployment path of the side airbag the
new sensors deactivate it.
