The new 2010 Volvo S40 sedan does offer impressive levels of safety equipment;
if you are in the market for an upscale compact sedan, this attribute
might appeal to you. The 2010 Volvo S40 sports increased horse
power and adds a standard CD/cassette player, and enhanced readouts.
The 2010 Volvo S40 runs a turbo 4-cyl engine with 170 hp
through a 5-speed automatic transmission. We enjoy preparing and
posting our 2010 Volvo s40 review and hope that you find the specs
and information useful and the 2010 Volvo S40 picture enjoyable.
Taking our S40 on the road, new Volvo has tuned the 2010
S40 for a fairly taut ride, though comfort doesn't take a rear
seat to performance.
All
2010 Volvo S40's are equipped with a turbocharged 170-horsepower
1.9-liter four-cylinder engine powered through a five-speed automatic,
which delivers power to the front wheels. As with other new Volvos,
safety is one of the 2010 S40's greatest assets. Airbags
pop out of just about every surface, including Inflatable Curtain
head-protection airbags for front and rear passengers, side airbags
for front passengers and the usual dual-stage front airbags.
Whiplash-reducing
Volvo front seats and seat belt pre-tensioners add a generous
level of safety. Four-wheel antilock disc brakes are standard
throughout the line, while stability control is available as part
of the climate package. The 2010 Volvo S40 has earned a "good"
rating in the IIHS' frontal offset crash tests.
The 2010 Volvo S40 though affordable, allows for the acquisition
of a large number of optional features. Standard 2010 Volvo
S40 features are rather generous, namely automatic climate control,
a ski pass-through and a CD player.
As for optional
S40 equipment, there are individual features like power seats
and leather trim. In terms of packages, a Volvo climate package
includes stability control and heated front seats.
